High School logo

Good afternoon VCHS parents,

We are closing this month celebrating our students through various activities that engaged our whole campus. At our site the past couple of weeks, our students have:

  • participated in Red Ribbon Week and informed the campus of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse
  • come together to bring awareness to breast cancer by wearing pink during the school day and after
  • attended a Jags United after school event and traveled on rooter buses to support our Jaguar Football team at Escondido HS
  • celebrated Unity Week with activities around respect and kindness

We have plans moving forward to continue to strengthen our culture of kindness and a high standard of respect.  Student safety is one of our highest priorities and we will work to make sure each student feels safe when they step on our campus or attend school events.   We ask all members of our school community (staff, parents, and students) to report any concerns so that we can be proactive in responding and work together to ensure our campus is positive and supportive learning environment. You and your student can file reports directly to our school administrators and through our online Sprigeo service which can be found on both the district and high school website and is accessible from all student devices.

Halloween at VCHS - Tomorrow is Halloween and VCHS does allow students to wear costumes.  We will have a costume contest and other fun activities at lunch.  Students that wear costumes that interrupt the educational process or do not follow costume guidelines will be asked to change.  Please review the VCHS Halloween Costume Guidelines.
